This course, friendly for first-time participants, provides practical bleeding control instruction suitable for participants of all experience levels. Attendees will learn how to quickly identify and treat traumatic bleeding injuries using proven life-saving techniques including digital pressure, tourniquet application, hemostatic gauze, and pressure dressings.

Train Like It’s Real.
The Phokus MST Wound Simulation Line provides rugged, hyper-realistic trauma simulators built for demanding medical and tactical training. Designed to support bleeding control, wound packing, and life-saving skill development, MST products help bridge the gap between classroom instruction and real-world response.

Location: Town and Country Foyer followed by 30 minute debrief in Palm Rooms 1 & 2.  Following the live scenario, all attendees are directed to join the UTAC team for a 30-minute operational debrief with the manufacturers of the products featured in the demonstration. Operation Type: Medical Evacuation (MEDEVAC) with Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD)

Summary:
During a routine security sweep ahead of an upcoming diplomatic event at a luxury resort hotel, an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) detonates on the second floor near the main lobby corridor. The explosion critically injures a member of the security team and causes significant concern that additional devices may be present in the surrounding area.

The immediate environment is chaotic: hotel guests are sheltering in place, debris blocks portions of the hallway, and the threat of secondary devices prevents conventional rescue approaches. Responding teams must quickly assess the situation while minimizing further risk to personnel and civilians.

EOD specialists and robotic systems will be deployed to conduct rapid reconnaissance and search for potential secondary explosives while medical personnel prepare to stabilize and evacuate the injured team member.

Objectives:

• Stabilize and safely evacuate the injured team member.

• Conduct remote reconnaissance of the blast site and surrounding areas.

• Detect and neutralize any additional explosive threats.

• Secure and render the area safe for follow-on operations.

Operation Type: Hostage Rescue (HR)

Summary:
Intelligence indicates that a known terrorist organization has taken a hostage inside a guest room on the eighth floor of the resort hotel. The hostage is believed to be held for interrogation and potential leverage. The number of hostile individuals inside the room is unknown, and their level of armament is unclear.

The situation requires rapid intelligence gathering and precise planning before entry. ISR assets will be deployed to collect information on the room’s layout, potential threats, and the safest access points.

Once sufficient intelligence is gathered, a tactical rescue team will conduct a coordinated insertion using both interior and exterior access methods. The operation will prioritize the safety of the hostage while neutralizing or apprehending hostile actors.

Objectives:

• Conduct ISR to determine threat presence and room conditions.

• Insert rescue elements into position without alerting the suspects.

• Safely recover and evacuate the hostage.

• Neutralize or detain all hostile threats.

Summary:
Intelligence reports confirm that a known High Value Target (HVT), along with several members of their organization’s leadership, is meeting at a high-end restaurant located within the resort complex. The individuals are believed to be planning future operations and represent a significant intelligence opportunity if apprehended.

Due to the public setting and the presence of resort guests and staff, the operation requires a rapid, controlled response that minimizes risk to civilians while preventing the targets from escaping or destroying sensitive materials.

Surveillance platforms will first establish persistent Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) coverage of the area. Once confirmation of the targets is achieved, a tactical team will infiltrate the area and conduct a coordinated apprehension operation.

Objectives:

• Establish ISR coverage to confirm target identities and locations.

• Deploy a tactical team to discreetly infiltrate the resort grounds.

• Apprehend all HVTs and associated personnel safely and efficiently.

• Secure any intelligence, communications equipment, or materials found during the operation.

Operation Type: Counter-UAS (Unmanned Aerial System) & Electronic Warfare

Summary:
During a high-profile international conference at the resort, security personnel detect multiple unidentified unmanned aerial systems (UAS) entering the airspace surrounding the property. The drones appear to be conducting surveillance of the event and nearby infrastructure, raising concerns that they may be collecting sensitive intelligence or potentially delivering hazardous payloads.

Initial detection systems indicate that several drones are operating on different frequencies and flight paths, suggesting a coordinated effort designed to overwhelm traditional security measures. Some drones may be operating autonomously while others appear to be remotely piloted from an unknown location outside the resort perimeter.

Security teams must quickly identify, track, and assess the drones while protecting critical infrastructure and the large number of guests attending the conference. Electronic warfare and counter-UAS technologies will be deployed to disrupt command links, locate the drone operators, and safely neutralize the aerial threats without endangering people or property on the ground.

Objective:

• Detect and identify unauthorized UAS activity within the resort’s airspace.

• Track and classify drone threats using integrated ISR and RF detection systems.

• Disrupt or disable hostile drones using counter-UAS technologies.

• Locate and identify the source of drone control signals.

• Secure the airspace and protect conference attendees and infrastructure.
